Assistant Professor at the Vienna University of Technology starting in 1991, and after habilitation in Technology Assessment, Associate Professor there since 2001. Retired in 2018. Professor for Internet and Society at the University of Salzburg from 2004 to 2010. Visiting professorships in Brasil and Spain.
