After the first wave, Peter Fleissner has been simulating the second wave of COVID-19 in Austria in his modelling project. With data from 1 June 2020 until 15 December 2020, the simulation yields a forecast of a third wave. The blue line in the chart above shows the daily incidences according to the simulation until 31 May 2021, the punctuated line the actual incidences ending in an even line as data are not yet available. Those results require an effective strategy of physical distancing, testing, contact tracing, quarantines and vaccination.
