ARTIIS 2024 report
ARTIIS is an international forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, results, experiences, and concerns from several perspectives of Technologies, Information, Innovation, and Sustainability.
The conference was held in a hybrid format, with some participants present in person, in Santiago de Chile, Chile, hosted by the Universidad Andrés Bello. We enabled virtual participation for those who were unable to attend the event, due to logistical, political, economic, or other type of issues, by adopting the infrastructure of Zoom platform.
The Program Committee was composed of a multidisciplinary group of more than 453 experts from 57 countries, with the responsibility for evaluating, in a ‘double-blind review’ process, the papers received for each of the main themes proposed for the conference and workshops.
The fourth edition of ARTIIS, realized in 2024, received 408 contributions from 44 countries worldwide.
The acceptance rate was 38%, 138 regular papers and 18 short papers. We accepted 83 full papers, and 8 short papers from 238 submissions to the Main Conference. For the 14 workshops we accepted 55 full papers and 10 short papers from 170 submissions.
The papers accepted to ARTIIS 2024 are published by the Communications in Computer and Information Science series (Springer CCIS). It is indexed in DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, SCImago, Scopus. CCIS volumes are also submitted for inclusion in ISI Proceedings.
Three volumes (CCIS volumes 2345–2346–2347) consist of the peer-reviewed papers from the 2024 International Conference on Advanced Research in Technologies, Information, Innovation and Sustainability (ARTIIS 2024), which took place during October 21–23, 2024. In addition, the peer-reviewed papers of the 13 Workshops, the Workshops proceedings, are published in a separate set consisting of two volumes (CCIS 2348–2349).
The first volume of the book (CCIS volume 2345) contains all the papers on the topic Computing Solutions: that addresses the development of applications and platforms involving computing and is produced to some area of knowledge or society. It includes topics like networks, pervasive computing, gamification or software engineering.
The second volume (CCIS volume 2346) contains all the papers on the topic Data Intelligence: focuses on data (e.g., text, images) acquisition and processing using smart techniques or tools. It includes some topics like computing intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or Computer Vision.
The third volume (CCIS volume 2347) contains all the papers on the topics: Sustainability, and Ethics, Security, and Privacy. Sustainability explores a new type of computing more, green, connected, efficient and sustainable. Topics like Immersive Tech, Smart Cities or Sustainable Infrastructures are part of this topic. Ethics, Security, and Privacy shows a more strict and secure area of Infor-mation Systems where the end-user is the main concern. Vulnerabilities, Data Privacy or cybersecurity, are the main subjects of this topic.
The fourth and fifth volumes (CCIS 2348–2349) consist of the peer-reviewed papers from 13 Workshops of the 2024 International Conference on Advanced Research in Technologies, Information, Innovation and Sustainability (ARTIIS 2024).
ARTIIS 2024 had the support of Universidad Andrés Bello, Chile; Universidad Estatal Peninsula de Santa Elena, Ecuador; and the Algoritmi Research Center of Minho University, Portugal.
