In April 2017, Emergent Systems Group member Yagmur Denizhan, Professor at the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, Bogazici University, Turkey, was invited by the International Center for Philosophy of Information, School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Xi’an Jiaotong University, to give three guest lectures:

• Information: How to approach the elephant?
• Simondon’s Theory of Individuation as a Unifying Ontogenetic Framework
• Achilles’ Heel of Human Communication

The stay was facilitated through an exchange programme with the Bertalanffy Center.
