COVID 19 in Austria – A simulation updated daily

Our member, social scientist Peter Fleissner, retired professor at the TU Wien, simulates the development of the COVID 19 endemic in Austria. He writes:

Here you find the results of a simple simulation model of the COVID 19 epidemic in Austria. It will be updated every evening.

The charts show the trend forecasted for 100 days starting at 8 March 2020. At that time, 100 people were proven infected. The black curve in the upper chart is the forecast of the number of infected people, the segment in blue represents the data observed. The lower chart shows the forecast of the daily number of new infected in red and the total number of the fatal casualties in black.

There is no guarantee that the results will come true.
