The course “Political Economies of the Media. Theories and Methods” took place from 9 to 12 September 2025 in Šibenik, Croatia. It was an advanced postgraduate summer school covering classical topics in media politics such as ownership, production, content, consumption, labour, and regulation, as well as contemporary aspects including algorithms, platforms, data, and artificial intelligence from the perspective of critical political economy. Thomas Allmer served as one of the course directors.
