Under that title – in short: “CollabEcon” – our Member Vangelis Papadimitropoulos is working on a project supported by the Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation. The objective is to explore the potental of social as well as technological innovation in commons-based peer production to enable collaborative economy to transcend capitalist confines and establish open cooperativism. The role of digital commons and open-source technologies is highlighted. Can new models prefigure a more ecological, redistributive and inclusive economy?

[The photo above shows an example of such a new organisation model in Greece: “The P2P Lab designs and implements projects using participatory and community-based methods and practices. It advances research and knowledge through the creation of spaces for creative resistance and commons-based alternatives.” https://collabecon.gr/greece-p2p-lab-and-tzoumakers/]
