Wolfgang Hofkirchner was invited to give a lecture on Emergent information. A Unified Theory of Information framework (the title of his 2013 monograph) at the Institute of Information Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, on 26 November 2019. That institute had only recently changed its name to signify a change in future research and teaching so as to include a portfolio beyond library science and information management only. Hofkirchner presented an overview of the multitude of information approaches and specified the place of his own approach.

Further collaboration was agreed.
